Commentary on Surah Qiyama

Commentary on Surah Qiyama
Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri

This is the first in a series of several commentaries on selected surahs of the Qur'an by Shaykh Fadhlalla during the course of various Jummah gatherings.

He explains that his focus will be to highlight specific root words so as to make the inner meanings more accessible to the listener.

The majority of the Surahs are Meccan in origin and are therefore to do with absolute truth and the meaning of life in terms of why are we here; what is our purpose; what is our end?

This particular Surah highlights the interconnectedness of the seen and unseen within each of us and how every creation on that day of reckoning or in truth at any time announces itself in terms of the imprint we make on the soul by our own actions and intentions.
