Surah At-Tin

Surah At-Tin
Shaykh Fadhlalla Haeri

Tin” means figs.Figs and olives were the main forms of sustenance in the Arab world. Every part of this tree is useable, filled with goodness and is easy to keep and to grow.

Fig trees, like the pomegranate trees propagate themselves and spread out.

This Surah tells us there is continuity in this world. The Qur'an gives us the map of duality: the good, the bad, the ups and downs etc.

However, those with faith are secure and certain that they will return to Allah and are unmoved by earthly occurrences.
